I can see the problem.
But on the by: How CAN a shapeshifter even get drunk?? Should complete controlover one’s molecules not include a certain amount of substance-management? Or rather: MAYBE HE WANTS TO BE DRUNK, HUH???
Maybe getting drunk is Sneaky´s special ultra-rare-secret-and-unique shapeshifter ability only he possessess?…just sayin´
